Megan McKenna became overcome with emotion when she tried to discuss her relationship with Mike Thalassitis, who died on Saturday aged 26, in an past episode of Celebs Go Dating aired in February.

She answered: ‘I think my last relationship, I was kind of… I think I definitely fell in love.’
Megan began to cry and admitted she did not want to discuss it further.
She said: ‘I don’t really want to talk about it, sorry. But I feel that’s all I want, I want that love back.’
Mike’s manager confirmed the shock news of his passing on Saturday evening. The cause of his death is not yet known and police are yet to release any information.

The news of his death comes just months after his best friend Danny Cutts passed away.
Mike rose to fame on Love Island in 2017, where he became a TV sensation after his stint in the famous ITV villa.
The former League One footballer, who comes from a Cypriot family, enjoyed a successful playing career before becoming a beloved reality TV star after appearing on season three of Love Island in 2017.

The country singer had previously said that Mike wasn’t a ‘nasty person’, she told OK! Magazine that the pair were just ‘two different people’.
She said: ‘I can’t even say why we split. I just feel like we’re both at different point in our lives.
‘We both respect each other and we didn’t want it to get nasty or messy. There is only so much you can do in a relationship and when it’s not working you’ve got to take separate routes.’

She continued: ‘But I wish him all the luck in the world, he’s not a nasty person. Everything happens for a reason. It wasn’t one of those break-ups like ones I’ve had in the past where it was really bitter and nasty, this was more a decision we made together.
‘The way I dealt with things in the past with my exes was by screaming and that was not a good way to deal with it.’
Social media was awash with tributes to Mike from the likes of his other ex, Tyla Carr, as well as his Love Island co-stars Sam Gowland, Gabby Allen and Marcel Somerville.
Tyla, 26, who was partnered up with Mike on Love Island in 2017, shared kind words to pay tribute to her ex as she gave her love to his extended family and friends.

Meanwhile, Sam, who struck up a friendship with Mike after they were dumped from the villa and then brought back later on in the series, shared a heartbreaking throwback picture of the two of them.
He penned: ‘Absolutely lost for words not only made a friend in the villa but made a mate for life on the outside to !!! Absolutely devastated @mike_thala R.I.P my mate ❤️.’
